I create graphic fiction as a writer-artist and I illustrate books. I focus on capturing human gesture, expression, and movement through line drawing, and in my writing I seek intense and weirdly-specific moments of human emotion.
My latest book is My Antarctica, written by G. Neri and to be published by Candlewick Press in March 2024.
I was shortlisted for the 2023 First Graphic Novel Award for The Infinite Benefits of Shame.
I also illustrated the critically-acclaimed 2018 graphic novel Grand Theft Horse, written by G. Neri and published by Lee & Low Books.
I was nominated for the 2014 British Comic Awards for my self-published graphic novel Breaker’s End.
I was the winner of the 2012 Cape/Observer/Comica Graphic Short Story Prize for my comic But I Can’t.
